Health Midwest Credit Union recognizes the importance of protecting the privacy of personal information about our members and it is our goal to protect that information in every way we interact with members, whether it be in a branch, at one of our ATM's, on the telephone, or online through the Internet. We shall continue to protect information entrusted to us by our members and will not sell member information to non-affiliated third parties.

We limit the collection and use of member information that we require to deliver quality member service, which includes advising members about our products and services, and to help us to respond to member questions and applications, as well as provide account information members may request. Health Midwest Credit Union does not share information about our members with other companies except in an effort to provide member service either through the credit union or to make special offers available that we feel may be of interest to our members. If any of our vendor relationships require disclosure of member information in order to provide service to our members, we will require that the vendor not use member information for any other purpose.

Members also have a responsibility in protecting their privacy. Members are advised to protect account numbers, plastic card numbers, PIN's (personal identification numbers) or passwords. Members will want to exercise caution when disclosing account numbers, social security numbers, etc. to other persons. Members are encouraged to keep information with us current to enable us to deliver account information and to enable us to contact them immediately if we should detect potentially fraudulent or unauthorized activity.

Health Midwest Credit Union may disclose information on member accounts or information contained in member files to an appropriate third party, such as a credit bureau. We may also provide information to regulatory authorities or law enforcement in accordance with applicable law.
